Write the inclusions before comparing the total
List the enclosure, filtration, lighting, doors, transfer devices and controls separately. For each item, identify whether it is included, optional or outside the package. A general room description can conceal significant differences.
Add the interfaces to the host facility: power, conditioning, exhaust, supports and final connections. Assign them to a responsible party. Where an item is quoted as an option, ask what other design or installation work changes when it is selected.
Review documentation and logistics with the physical equipment. Drawings, packing information and installation support may affect how the package is received and assembled. A clear supply schedule makes later order changes easier to price and control.
Configuration decisions
| Decision | What to define |
|---|---|
| Core supply | List the enclosure and included equipment by function. |
| Options | Identify optional items and their associated interfaces. |
| Site supply | State utilities, connections and work by others. |
| Documents and delivery | Confirm drawings, packaging and agreed support. |
What should a buyer do when a quotation says complete room?
Ask for an itemized scope and interface list. The phrase alone does not establish whether HVAC, local wiring, installation or performance testing is included.
