Check the delivered assembly against its schedule
Verify door identifiers, dimensions and handing against the released drawing. Check the leaf and frame together where the agreed inspection process permits it. Review the fit and operation of the specified hardware.
Inspect visible finishes, edges and glazing for damage or defects. Confirm that accessories and loose components are included and labeled for their destination opening. Keep photographs and inspection records linked to the actual order identifiers.
Some final checks depend on installation. Sealing to the wall, alignment in the opening and integrated control behavior cannot be fully established by a factory photograph. Separate the pre-dispatch record from the checks required at site.
Configuration decisions
| Decision | What to define |
|---|---|
| Identity | Match the assembly to the door number and drawing revision. |
| Dimensions | Check specified reference dimensions and handing. |
| Assembly condition | Review finish, glazing and the agreed hardware checks. |
| Packing | Confirm protected components, loose parts and installation information. |
Does a factory inspection replace site acceptance?
No. It checks the manufactured package. Installation interfaces, final adjustment and any project performance requirements still need the checks agreed for the completed doorway.
