Make the responsibility chain visible
Ask for a single scope matrix covering design information, enclosure supply, services, local work and handover records. Identify where the company performs work itself and where another party must be appointed.
Review the communication and change process. Name the person or function responsible for consolidating technical questions, issuing approved revisions and recording decisions. This is especially important when several suppliers work from the same room drawing.
Assess support using specific deliverables rather than broad assurances. Configuration records, component identification and an agreed route for technical queries are useful after handover. They make future maintenance and expansion easier to manage.
Configuration decisions
| Decision | What to define |
|---|---|
| Coordination | Identify who maintains the complete interface picture. |
| Contract scope | Connect each deliverable to a responsible party. |
| Changes | Agree review, approval and revision procedures. |
| Continuity | Confirm how configuration and component records will be retained. |
Is the largest company automatically the best fit?
Company size alone does not answer whether the proposed scope, technical response and support arrangements suit the project. Compare the responsibilities and evidence that matter to your installation.
