FunctionStatic neutralization across a wider work zone

Two fan heads do not establish a guaranteed coverage width. Confirm mounting provision, electrical rating and performance at all intended handling positions.

Unit selection and mounting arrangements can be matched to your bench width and process.

The dual-head format places two air outlets across a horizontal enclosure. It suits workstations where the active handling area extends across a tray or more than one position, subject to verification of the actual neutralization coverage.

Cover a work zone, not just two points

Two fan outlets distribute air from a wider enclosure, which can suit a tray-based operation or a bench with several handling positions. Coverage still depends on distance, fan setting and what sits between the outlets and the parts. A tall fixture can create an untreated area even when both fans are running.

Map the active positions

Identify where parts are unpacked, inspected, assembled and transferred. Include the ends and center of the working area in verification. The space between outlets should be checked rather than assumed to perform like the area directly in front of a fan.

Control the installation

Keep the enclosure stable, protect the power lead and leave access to the top controls. The support must match the unit's actual mounting provisions. Check that shelves, lighting and frequently moved tools do not obstruct the air path.

Compare the whole arrangement with a local blower

A compact single-head unit may be easier to aim at one fixed task. The dual-head format is useful when several positions must share the air supply, but it needs enough installation space and a clear approach to the work zone. Selection should follow the neutralization results at those positions, not simply the fan count.

Simco-Ion's blower documentation treats airflow and working distance as part of application selection. Performance figures from another model should not be applied to this unit.

Keep the verified layout repeatable

Document the installation height, angle, settings and measurement locations. Repeat the checks after moving the blower or changing large fixtures. Include emitter cleaning and fan inspection in maintenance, following the supplied instructions. Ionization supports the area's ESD program; it does not replace grounding or establish a cleanroom classification.
