Compare evidence and scope on equal terms
Create a comparison sheet that separates enclosure manufacture, air-system design, local installation and performance verification. A manufacturer may cover some of these activities directly and coordinate others. The distinction matters more than a broad capability statement.
Review the proposed drawings and technical information for the actual configuration. Ask how changes are controlled and what information is needed before production release. A polished brochure cannot resolve an unspecified opening or service responsibility.
Finally, compare support after handover. Identify access to replacement components, operating information and technical clarification. Record exclusions beside the price so that omitted work is not mistaken for a saving.
Configuration decisions
| Decision | What to define |
|---|---|
| Technical response | Check whether the proposal answers your stated requirements. |
| Supply boundary | Compare included components and work by other parties. |
| Document control | Review drawings, revisions and manufacturing-release information. |
| After handover | Ask how replacement parts and configuration records are maintained. |
How many manufacturers should a buyer compare?
There is no fixed number that guarantees a good choice. A smaller set of comparable, well-defined proposals is more useful than many prices based on different scopes.
