A static pass box provides a controlled opening between spaces; it does not actively filter its chamber air. Its door sequence and the material-transfer procedure are therefore central to the selection.
Define the normal transfer in plain steps
Identify who loads the chamber, how the item is prepared, which door closes first and how the receiving side knows it can open. Include the handling of rejected items or an incomplete transfer. If the written procedure depends on a signal, the equipment must provide that signal clearly.
Mechanical and electronic interlocks can support different operating arrangements. Compare their permitted sequence, indication, maintenance and fault response. Do not assume that an electronic lock proves the chamber is clean or that a mechanical lock removes the need for inspection.
Useful space is smaller than cabinet size
Specify the maximum loaded tray or container and the clearance needed for hands or handling aids. Check the door swing on both sides. Internal corners and shelf details should allow the intended cleaning method without creating inaccessible areas.
For wall integration, provide the support and a continuous perimeter closure. A chamber should not be suspended from thin panel skins unless that attachment has been designed for the load. Coordinate service access if electrical controls are fitted.
Keep treatment claims separate
Any optional UV feature needs its own safety, compatibility and efficacy assessment. It does not make a static box a universal steriliser. For loads requiring a validated decontamination process, select an appropriate process and equipment rather than relying on an interlock or an unqualified timed exposure.
The ISO cleanroom design scope establishes requirements before technical means. A static transfer box can be appropriate where the facility's defined process supports it; a more complex treatment should be selected only where the duty requires it.
Compare electronic and mechanical interlock pass boxes against that sequence. shengtongJH can coordinate dimensions and controls. Share the transfer routine and wall interface to define the supply.
