A mini-pleat HEPA filter replacement must match the housing interface as well as the filtration requirement. Two elements with similar face dimensions can differ in frame depth, seal location and retention. A filter that fits loosely into an opening is not necessarily a compatible replacement.
Record the installed interface
Photograph the label and accessible frame details before removal, following the site's maintenance procedure. Identify the removal side, gasket contact face or gel channel, knife-edge arrangement and clamping method. Do not handle the delicate media pack as a lifting surface.
Top-gel and side-gel arrangements belong to different mating geometries. The position of the seal determines what the housing must engage; changing only the catalogue description does not convert one interface into the other.
Keep airflow attached to resistance
Ask for pressure-drop information at the intended operating flow. A resistance number without its flow basis cannot establish the installed fan duty. If the replacement differs in construction or class, assess the selection with the available airflow and control range instead of assuming the existing fan will compensate.

- Exact element and frame dimensions with seal position.

- Required installation and acceptance responsibilities.
After replacement, investigate unexpected performance through the installation as well as the element. Seal contact, clamping, housing condition and surrounding bypass paths can matter. Repeatedly ordering a higher class may leave the actual problem untouched.
