Finger Cots
Pink Latex Finger Cots
Pink latex finger cots make a selected finger-covering type easy to identify at the point of use. They are suitable for evaluation where only the fingers touching a part need to be covered.
| Material / color | Natural rubber latex / pink |
|---|---|
| Contact surface | Smooth |
| Sizes / nominal laid-flat L × W | S: 60 × 18 mm; M: 65 × 25 mm; L: 70 × 30 mm |
| Cleanliness options | General grade or custom requirements |
| Documentation options | ESD and latex composition reports |
| Process areas | Electronics, assembly, semiconductors, LCD panels, optics and precision electronics |
| Packing | 500 g per bag |
Contains natural rubber latex, which may cause allergic reactions. Pink color is not proof of ESD performance. Dimensions are measured before stretching.
Make color coding useful at the point of use
Pink can identify the finger cot assigned to a particular station, shift process or material group. Support that visual cue with a labeled dispenser and a clear replacement instruction. Color coding becomes unreliable if a visually similar cot with different documentation is substituted during replenishment.
The color does not establish a particular electrical resistance, cleanliness result or latex formulation. Those requirements belong in the product specification and supporting reports.
Check the fingertip
The closed end should follow the finger while positioning a small part. Loose material can fold between the finger and the component. Fit trials should include releasing the part, not just holding it.
Check the opening
The rolled opening should remain stable without uncomfortable tension. Repeat the task for enough cycles to observe whether it shifts or needs adjustment. Use the nominal flat dimensions as a starting point for selecting trial sizes.
Compare materials separately from colors
Natural rubber latex may cause allergic reactions. If material selection is the reason for a change, compare the nitrile option, not simply another latex color. For an approved color-coding system using latex, the yellow version has its own cleanliness options and must be specified accordingly.
