| Material | 304 stainless steel; 316 where the exposure requires it |
| Assembly | Adjustable knock-down structure or fixed welded construction |

| Load specification | Per-shelf and complete-bay ratings for the selected dimensions and load pattern |
| Storage accessories | Dividers, rear stops, raised edges and covers as required |
Dimensions describe the rack envelope on feet. Usable shelf area is smaller; projecting feet, restraints and caster configurations are detailed in the selected arrangement.
Shelf dimensions, deck type, spacing and handling accessories can be customized to suit your storage items and working environment.
Stainless steel shelving provides open, easy-to-reach storage for containers, components and packaged supplies. The useful choice depends on what sits on each shelf, how it is picked and how the surrounding area is cleaned. shengtongJH coordinates shelving procurement for production stores, laboratories, commercial facilities and controlled environments.
Start with the underside of the stored item
A broad container base, a narrow bottle and a tray with small feet place different demands on a shelf. Choose the supporting surface before filling a room with identical racks. A deck that is easy to wipe may be preferable to a more open design when small parts or soft packaging need continuous support.
Solid decks
Continuous sheet supports small packages and is straightforward to wipe. A rear or side lip can stop items being pushed off, although a raised edge can also obstruct sliding a heavy tray out. Open shelves with shallow lips do not replace a dedicated spill-containment system.
Wire decks
Open wire gives visibility and allows air to pass through the shelf. The gaps must suit the package base: narrow feet, flexible bags and loose components may need a compatible support tray. Wires and corner joints add surfaces to the cleaning routine.
Perforated decks
Perforated sheet provides a flatter support surface with openings for circulation or drainage. Select hole geometry around the smallest item and the cleaning method. An open deck does not, by itself, dry a densely packed load.
Useful storage is more than the outside dimensions
Corner posts, folded edges and shelf connectors reduce the clear space available to a tote. Check the container handles as well as the body width. A container that fits between the posts may still be difficult to grip when the next shelf sits immediately above it.
Deeper shelves hold more, but stock at the rear is harder to see and retrieve from a single aisle. Where supplies are picked frequently, a shallower bay can give better access than a deeper bay filled in two rows. Locate bulky, frequently moved items where the handling method can reach them.
Plan the route through the store
Allow for the loaded trolley turning into the aisle, opening nearby doors and cleaning beneath or behind the rack. A wall gap should remain accessible rather than becoming a narrow trap for debris. Check the delivery opening too: a welded rack must pass through as a complete unit, while a knock-down assembly can enter in smaller components.
Adjustable shelves suit changes in packaging height. Fixed welded shelves reduce detachable joints but commit the bay to one layout. The better option depends on how often the stock mix changes and whether the complete rack can be moved for cleaning.
Match the rack to the cleaning environment
Dry storage, regular wet cleaning and splash exposure need different material decisions. Specify the grade of the shelves and frame, rather than relying on a general stainless description. The 316 stainless steel shelving option addresses more demanding corrosion conditions, while the surface finish, joints and retained residues still affect service life.
Mobile shelving makes floor access easier, but the caster assembly changes height, stability and permissible load. Select wheels for the actual route, thresholds and cleaning agents. A stationary shelf rating should not be reused as the rating for a loaded moving rack.
Specify a usable bay, then repeat it
For a procurement enquiry, list the largest container, the heaviest normal shelf contents, the quantity of shelf levels and the available aisle. Add the cleaning routine and whether the rack stays fixed or moves. These details let us coordinate deck construction, supports and access without buying features that the operation does not need.
Where dense components or tooling dominate the load, use the selection criteria for heavy duty stainless steel shelving. For general storage and transfer equipment, compare the existing trolleys and storage racks before sending your requirements through the quotation enquiry.
