070BACTS has a small double-layer fabric head on a slender PP shaft. The compact rounded profile suits local wiping where access and control are more useful than a large cleaning face.
A small fabric face for local work
The fabric wraps around a compact support to create a rounded contact end. This gives the operator a defined working surface for accessible component edges and small fixture details. Keep the fabric face in contact with the part; the plastic shaft should remain clear.
The double-layer construction describes the head structure. It does not by itself establish a cleanliness class, solvent resistance or particle-release limit for a particular process. Where these properties matter, qualify the supplied swab with the required fluid, surface and acceptance method.
Access and handling decisions
- Close-spaced features
- Allow clearance for the full rounded head and for withdrawal. A narrow entry can grip the fabric even when the shaft fits.
- Repeated strokes
- Inspect the head for snagging or wear when the part has burrs, threads or sharp edges. Stop if the fabric is damaged.
- Clean supply
- Open only the working inner pack and take each swab by its handle. Avoid touching the head while arranging tools at the station.
Use separate swabs for different residues or work areas. Reusing a small head across several locations can move contamination into a previously clean feature.
