070BPHCTS uses a double-layer cleanroom paper head with a PP handle. This is a paper-head swab, distinct from the paper-stem products that carry a separate absorbent tip at each end.
The paper is at the contact surface
In this model, paper forms the small cleaning head while polypropylene forms the handle. That distinction matters when comparing it with a paper-stem swab: the two products place paper in different parts of the assembly and should not be substituted solely because their names contain the same material.
Evaluate wet behaviour before use
For a process that uses cleaning fluid, check the paper head under the actual wetting level and contact time. Observe head integrity, residue pickup and any material left on the workpiece. Do not assume that a paper contact surface behaves like polyester fabric or foam when saturated.
Use short strokes over an accessible surface and avoid snagging the head on rough machining marks or sharp tooling edges. If the head changes shape or begins to break down, stop and replace it rather than increasing pressure.
