Match the selected height range to the working surface. The low back provides a different support profile from a full-back chair.
The seating configuration can be selected to suit your bench height and ESD control plan.
The FT-515121 uses a compact, low-back molded PU seat. Its open handle and unobstructed sides help keep the seating area accessible where the operator regularly changes position between a bench and nearby equipment.
A low back for open access
The FT-515121 is useful when a full-height backrest would occupy space behind a frequently changing working position. Its molded hand opening gives a convenient grip for repositioning the unoccupied chair, and the compact back profile leaves the upper body comparatively free to turn toward nearby fixtures.
This is a different seating choice from a full-back inspection chair. A low back should be evaluated against the duration of the task and the support the operator needs; a compact silhouette alone does not make it the right choice for every shift.
Check three working positions
- At the bench: check that the seat permits close access without the knees or base touching storage below the worktop.
- During part transfer: arrange frequently used trays within comfortable reach so that the operator does not have to lean beyond the base.
- When standing: keep the exit path clear of cables, loose cartons and neighboring chair legs.
Fixed glides reduce unintended rolling during these transitions. They do not eliminate the need for an even floor or an appropriate placement area. If the operator must repeatedly move a long distance while seated, a different chair and workstation layout may be more appropriate.
Keep the floor interface functional
Dust, packaging fragments and residues around floor contacts can interfere with both placement and electrical contact. Include the underside and glides in routine cleaning and inspection. Choose compatible ESD floor contacts; a conductive-looking metal base does not establish the performance of the assembled seat.
Confirm the selected chair's resistance results and cleaning compatibility before introducing it into a controlled workstation. For a higher working position that needs integral foot support, the FH-080921 offers a different arrangement.
