A replacement must match the actual frame and the gas-filtration duty. Matching a nominal size or an old product name alone is insufficient.
Supply configurations, panel dimensions, media and packing arrangements can be customized to suit your installation and purchasing requirements.
A chemical filter purchase is successful when the delivered panel fits its assigned position and contains the medium selected for that duty. shengtongjh coordinates equipment and material supply around those two requirements, with clear specifications for replacements and new installations.
Build the order around installation positions
A building may have several air-handling units that use similar-looking panels but receive different air streams. Buying one description for the entire site can conceal differences in gas exposure, airflow, frame depth or seal location.
Create a short replacement schedule using the equipment tag and filter-bank position. For each entry, keep the actual frame dimensions, quantity, media description, direction of flow and gasket arrangement together. A photograph of the old label is useful, but it should be supported by the installation measurements when the previous specification is incomplete.
If the original medium cannot be identified, treat its replacement as a selection exercise. Repeating the words printed on an old carton will not establish whether the new filter addresses the same contaminants.
What a useful offer needs to make clear
- The complete panel being supplied
- The frame, retained medium and sealing arrangement should form one identifiable configuration. A quote for carbon media alone is different from a complete replacement panel, and a bare frame is different from a gasketed assembly.
- The conditions behind performance data
- Removal data should identify the gas and test conditions. A percentage without airflow, concentration and capacity information is difficult to apply to an operating system. A test on loose medium does not by itself describe bypass or assembly effects in the finished panel.
- The evidence for a proposed substitution
- Compare the alternative's physical fit, target-gas suitability, media quantity, resistance and handling requirements. Matching one feature, such as face size, does not settle the remaining differences.
Resolve differences while the order is still a specification
An old panel may carry a rounded inch label while the replacement drawing uses millimeters. Even two common metric modules may differ slightly. Confirm the actual edge dimensions and the sealing surface rather than asking the installer to force a near match into the rail.
Changes to the frame, gasket or active medium should be visible in the order revision. Keep the approved configuration with the purchase record so the next repeat order is based on the accepted assembly. This is especially useful when several suppliers or sites use different naming systems for similar products.
Protect the media before it reaches the system
Sorbent media can be exposed to airborne compounds during storage as well as in service. Specify suitable protective sealing and retain it until installation. Store cartons under the selected filter's storage conditions, away from solvent use and other avoidable contamination sources.
Outer packing should support the frame without pressing into the media face. On receipt, check package integrity, bent corners, displaced gaskets and signs of loose material before accepting the panels into the maintenance stock.
Keep traceability useful to maintenance
Record the configuration and batch identification against the equipment position. When a filter is installed, add the date and relevant operating information. This makes an unexpectedly short service interval easier to investigate: the cause may be a changed gas load, bypass, storage exposure or an unsuitable medium.
A repeat order should therefore review any changed process conditions. A successful previous delivery is a useful reference, but it does not prove that the same media selection remains appropriate after ventilation or production changes.
Send a compact, complete enquiry
Include the installation schedule, target gases or available air-quality information, operating airflow and the required delivery quantity. Add photographs of the rack and existing frame where they explain sealing or access. State which documentation and packing details are required with the shipment.
For the technical selection behind the order, read chemical panel air filters. For a new assembly whose frame and media retention need to be defined, the manufacturing requirements page explains the construction decisions to settle before supply.
