Polyurethane rock wool sandwich panel is a description that needs a clear section drawing. For this range, the relevant option is a rock wool main core with polyurethane treatment at specified edges, rather than an undefined mixture of two insulation cores.

Keep the two material roles distinct

The rock wool occupies the main panel core. Polyurethane edge treatment changes a specific part of the panel's connection zone. That arrangement is different from a full PU or PIR foam-core panel, and the materials should be identified separately on the order.

If a drawing calls for layered insulation or a different hybrid construction, review that build-up as its own product. A broad material name cannot establish the amount, location or function of each component.

Follow the joint from one face to the other

Look at how the metal skins return at the edge and where adjacent panels engage. Then locate seals, fixings and any concealed cavities. This makes it possible to assess installation access and the treatment of cut ends before the panels reach the site.

At a corner or opening, the longitudinal joint no longer explains the entire connection. Specify matching closures and the sequence of seal application. Avoid leaving exposed insulation behind a trim that is assumed to provide a complete weather seal.

When the edge option is useful

It may suit a project that needs a particular formed connection and controlled edge construction. Compare an actual sample and section with the adjoining profiles rather than selecting on a photograph alone.

What the option does not establish

It does not automatically establish a fire class, thermal value or load rating. These must correspond to the complete selected panel, including its edge materials, and the intended installation.

Avoid an incomplete quotation

Ask the quotation to distinguish panel core, edge treatment, facing material and surface coating. Include perimeter profiles and sealing components so the delivered items form a usable wall package. For supply comparison, see PU-edge supplier specification points.

shengtongJH can coordinate the panel configuration with your project layout, exposure and installation requirements.
