Panel dimensions, surface finish and connection details can be configured for your application.

A polyurethane panel combines a rigid insulating core with protective facings. For a usable wall assembly, the foam, metal skins and edge connection need to be specified together rather than purchased as unrelated features.

Identify the form of panel you need

A metal-faced sandwich panel can provide insulation and a finished surface in one assembly. It is different from a bare foam board intended to sit behind another lining. Confirm which form the wall design requires before comparing price or thickness.

For workshops, service enclosures and temperature-separated work areas, the finished face can reduce the number of site-applied layers. That benefit depends on coordinated joints and closures; unfinished cut edges still need protection.

Core and thermal duty

Choose the insulation against the required wall performance and surrounding conditions. The core's product data and the installed joint detail matter together. A thicker panel does not correct an air leak around a door or a metal bridge at the base.

Skins and mechanical duty

The facings influence cleanability, corrosion resistance and structural behaviour. Match the metal and finish to the cleaning routine and likely contact. Heavy brackets or vehicle impact need separate support or protection.

Give the edges a complete detail

Interlocking edges help align adjacent panels, but the wall also needs compatible seals, trims and fixings. Select those parts as a system. Where fire performance is specified, obtain evidence for the actual panel assembly and installation; polyurethane itself should not be described as a non-combustible core.

Before ordering, place the panel joints on the elevation and check corners, openings and support lines. This reveals awkward infill strips and avoids unnecessary cutting at the installation stage. For a different foam chemistry, compare the requirements on the PIR sandwich panel page. shengtongJH can coordinate panel dimensions, surfaces and accessories for the intended application.
