Dimensions and production options do not establish market eligibility. No California office, local inventory or certified model is represented by this product page.
A configuration can be customized to the application only after the destination requirements and permitted supply scope have been established.
For an ozone generator order intended for California, the first decision is whether the exact device and its intended use are eligible. A stainless cabinet, an industrial label or an adjustable output does not establish compliance. Review the product identity, marketing scope and supporting documents before discussing shipment.
Check the exact product against the current rule
California's Indoor Air Cleaning Devices Regulation applies to covered air cleaners sold into the state. Its certification requirements include an ozone-emission limit of 0.050 ppm, together with other requirements. That limit is not a treatment target or a general declaration that exposure is harmless.
Product identity matters: use the exact manufacturer and model, then verify the applicable listing and documents with CARB. A certificate for another model, a seller's statement or a low-output switch position does not establish certification of the offered unit.
The rule also covers relevant in-duct devices. Do not rely on older material suggesting that every in-duct installation is outside the regulation.
A covered indoor air cleaner
Confirm that the exact device meets the applicable certification, electrical and labelling requirements. Keep the manufacturer's model identity consistent across the quotation, the device label and its supporting records.
A claimed industrial-use exemption
The regulation defines limited uses and conditions. It does not exempt every product described as commercial or industrial. Eligibility depends on the actual purpose and how the device is manufactured, marketed, labelled and used.
A contained process application
A water or connected process system needs assessment against its actual function and relevant requirements. It should not be marketed as a general room air cleaner on the assumption that its process equipment label resolves the issue.
Read the conditions behind an industrial use
The regulation names particular applications, including certain remediation, temporary hotel odour work and vehicle reconditioning uses with trained personnel and unoccupied spaces. Those descriptions are conditional, not a blanket allowance for continuous operation in any business premises.
For devices relying on the defined industrial-use provision, the required health warning and pictogram are part of the device and documentation requirements. Relevant instructions and advertising must also carry the warning. Adding a notice to a webpage alone does not make a product eligible.
Prepare a reviewable purchase file
- State the actual treatment purpose and where the device will operate.
- Identify the proposed manufacturer, model and operating configuration.
- Obtain the applicable certification evidence or documented basis for the narrowly defined use.
- Check the label, instructions and sales description against that basis before shipment.
Ask the responsible compliance specialist or CARB to resolve an uncertain classification. shengtongJH can coordinate the equipment documents for review; this page does not certify a device or grant an exemption.
What happens before a quotation is confirmed
Send the destination and intended use with the equipment enquiry. The product description, documents and proposed configuration must agree before a California supply commitment can be considered. If the product cannot be supported for the intended destination and use, selecting a larger or smaller generator does not resolve that problem.
For the underlying process package, see industrial ozone generator. For a conventional filtration requirement, start with Air Filters and assess the complete air-cleaning device separately.
A configuration can be customized to the application only after the destination requirements and permitted supply scope have been established.
