Compare the consequences of the assembly method
A wall system may use visible profiles, concealed connections or other engineered junctions. Review what each arrangement means for cleaning, opening details and panel replacement. The preferred appearance should not hide a difficult maintenance task.
Ask how the system handles corners, changes in height and connections to the ceiling. A room with many openings may need a different level of coordination from a plain rectangular enclosure.
For future changes, identify which components can be reused and which finishing materials need replacement. Compare the work needed to alter one wall segment, not just the claim that the system is modular.
Configuration decisions
| Decision | What to define |
|---|---|
| Support arrangement | Understand the frame, panel support and building interfaces. |
| Joint design | Compare cleanability, sealing and access to connections. |
| Opening integration | Review door, glazing and transfer-device connections. |
| Change method | Identify removal sequence and replacement finishing parts. |
Can panels from different wall systems be mixed?
Only after the dimensions, support and connection details have been checked. Similar-looking panels may use incompatible joints or rely on different structural arrangements.
