Plan the sequence around interfaces
Before delivery, confirm that the floor, access route and overhead work are ready for the room package. Wet work, dusty cutting or unfinished services can interfere with clean assembly and damage completed surfaces.
Coordinate when ducts, cable routes, pipework and fire-safety provisions enter the enclosure. An opening cut after panels are installed may be avoidable if the trades review a shared drawing first. Define who seals and inspects each penetration.
Protect finished work as construction moves toward cleaning and commissioning. Handover should distinguish mechanical completion from performance acceptance. Record outstanding work, assign responsibility and agree how the area will be protected while corrections are made.
Configuration decisions
| Decision | What to define |
|---|---|
| Pre-delivery | Check the installation area and handling route against package dimensions. |
| Enclosure assembly | Follow the approved setting-out and connection details. |
| Service integration | Assign each penetration, support and final connection to a responsible party. |
| Completion | Separate installation records, cleaning readiness and agreed performance checks. |
Does prefabrication remove the need for local construction coordination?
No. The room still interfaces with the building, utilities and other trades. Those responsibilities should be agreed before delivery rather than discovered during installation.
