A teardrop-profile luminaire uses a narrow, shaped body to fit between cleanroom ceiling components and limit obstruction. That geometry can be useful, but it does not guarantee undisturbed airflow or a room cleanliness class.
Place the light within the ceiling plan
Coordinate the fitting with filter modules, suspension members, services and the work below. A narrow fixture can still interfere with flow if mounted in the wrong position or combined with other obstructions. Evaluate the installed arrangement under the room's actual operating conditions.
The body profile also affects cleaning access. Avoid creating an inaccessible channel between the light and an adjacent ceiling member.
Check the work-plane result
Linear fixtures distributed across a ceiling can provide useful coverage, but the spacing, mounting height and optics determine illumination. Specify the task requirements and obtain photometric information rather than selecting solely by tube length or wattage.
For detailed inspection, consider shadows and glare at the operator's position. A highly reflective work surface may require a different arrangement from general circulation lighting.
Keep the service method compatible with the room
Identify how the driver and light source are accessed, whether the enclosure opens into the room and how seals are restored. The need to maintain lighting should be included in the room's access plan rather than discovered after commissioning.
ISO 14644-4 addresses cleanroom design and construction as a coordinated project. A luminaire is one component in that project; its shape does not establish the performance of the complete air system.
Define material, surface finish, cleaning compatibility and any required ingress protection for the supplied assembly. Avoid assuming that a product described as a cleanroom light is suitable for every cleaning or hazardous-area duty.
shengtongJH can coordinate teardrop-light dimensions and electrical options with the ceiling layout. Send the filter-grid plan and lighting requirement to establish the configuration.
