A flat LED panel light may have the right nominal size yet fail to fit the ceiling correctly. The module size, cut-out, visible trim, housing depth and support method are separate dimensions and should be checked together.
Distinguish the ceiling module from the opening
A lay-in grid, sealed sandwich-panel ceiling and recessed frame require different interfaces. Identify how the light is supported and how the perimeter is sealed. The ceiling panel should not carry an unverified point load simply because the fitting rests on its edge.
Allow space for the driver, connectors and cable route. A shallow luminous face can still require additional service depth behind it.
Compare light quality at the task
Use the required illuminance, uniformity and glare conditions to develop the layout. Wattage and panel area do not describe the distribution. Colour rendering and colour consistency may be relevant to inspection tasks; specify them according to the work rather than choosing a colour temperature by appearance alone.
Include dimming and control compatibility. Confirm what happens when a driver or panel needs replacement so future parts do not create inconsistent light across the room.
Choose a maintainable sealed detail
State whether maintenance occurs from above or below. Room-side access can simplify servicing where the ceiling void is inaccessible, but the opening and resealing procedure must suit the room. Above-ceiling access needs a safe route and suitable supporting construction.
ISO 14644-4 provides the wider design and construction framework for cleanrooms. The relevant purchasing implication is to coordinate lighting with the enclosure and services, rather than treating a fitting label as room-performance evidence.
Choose the diffuser, gasket and housing materials for the cleaning routine. Any fire, ingress or other required performance should be supported for the offered assembly and its installation.
Send the ceiling section and lighting layout to shengtongJH for panel, frame and control options suited to the application.
