Capture method matters near exposed products
Electrified-grid and adhesive-board devices handle insects differently. Consider whether fragments could reach exposed food, packaging or other sensitive work. The suitable method and location should follow the site's pest-control assessment rather than the lowest equipment price.
An adhesive board also provides material for inspection and trend records, provided it is replaced and identified consistently. A full or contaminated board cannot be treated as an unchanged capture surface.
Do not place it where it creates a new problem
A unit visible from outside may attract insects towards an opening. Competing light, obstructions and airflow can also affect how insects approach it. Locate devices to intercept activity while keeping them away from positions where captured material or servicing could contaminate work.
Mount at a suitable height and provide safe access to service parts. Avoid placing the trap over exposed processing or a frequently used work surface.
Include servicing in the selection
Confirm the lamp or LED system, replacement parts, cleaning method and capture-board availability where applicable. Light that remains visibly on does not, by itself, prove unchanged attractiveness or performance. Follow the manufacturer's maintenance guidance and the pest-management plan.
