An air-shower pass box combines controlled transfer with directed air around the load. The chamber should be chosen for the objects being moved and the required surface-cleaning task, rather than simply fitting the available wall opening.
Use the loaded envelope
Include trays, handles, wrapping and the space needed to insert and remove an item without striking the interior. Leave the air paths required by the selected design clear. A tightly packed chamber can block jets or returns and make the actual transfer different from the intended arrangement.
Identify surfaces that air cannot reach. The process may still require appropriate unpacking, wiping or another treatment before transfer. Directed air should not be described as sterilisation or as a validated decontamination cycle for every material.
Separate three functions
- Interlock
- Controls the permitted door sequence to reduce simultaneous opening.
- Air system
- Provides the specified airflow through the selected filters and nozzles.
- Transfer procedure
- Determines how items are prepared, loaded, released and handled on the receiving side.
The equipment only supports the intended process when these functions agree. A timer completing does not prove that an unsuitable or obstructed load has been treated effectively.
Coordinate the wall and service side
Provide support for the chamber and its working load, then define the seal to the wall. Choose maintenance access before fixing adjacent cabinets or services. Filters and fans need a replacement route that does not require dismantling the surrounding partition.
ISO 14644-4 addresses cleanroom creation from requirements through start-up. Apply that approach to the transfer interface by specifying the required sequence and acceptance evidence instead of assuming a pass box alone establishes room performance.
shengtongJH can coordinate air-shower pass-box dimensions, doors and air-system options to the application. Send the item dimensions, transfer frequency and wall details to discuss a practical configuration.
