Choose the format around the room and its maintenance
Sheet material can reduce the number of joints across an area, but the layout still needs seams, perimeter details and practical handling access. Tiles offer a different layout and replacement approach, with more individual edges to coordinate. Compare both against the room shape, operating traffic and the intended repair method.
Distinguish overall thickness from a wear-layer specification where the construction has separate layers. Do not assume that two equally thick products have the same surface construction or suitability for the process. Check the selected material's documented application and maintenance requirements.
Prepare the base before committing the installation date
A new covering cannot correct an unsuitable substrate simply by concealing it. Establish moisture condition, flatness, soundness and compatibility with the adhesive or specified installation system. Include the required conditioning and release-to-service periods in the work sequence.
Plan equipment movement and temporary protection as well as the final installed traffic. The loads imposed by a small hard wheel during installation can differ from those of equipment standing in its operating position.
Treat wet cleaning as an interface question

Select the texture and cleaning method for the actual contamination and traffic. A surface that suits one wet-work condition may make another cleaning task harder. Obtain the selected product's chemical and slip-performance evidence without applying a different manufacturer's rating to it.
