Connector configuration (mm)4 mm stud for the listed metal arrangement; other interfaces require a matched cuff, cord and workstation connection
Cord selectionWorking reach, retraction force, termination and single- or dual-wire architecture selected together
Identification and releaseExterior color or identification, component schedule, approved sample and final-assembly verification

The size options describe distinct metal-band configurations, not all fabric cuffs. Custom branding or packaging does not establish electrical performance, material tolerance or compliance.

Band fit, exterior identification, cord configuration and packaging can be customized to the approved workstation requirements.

Custom ESD wrist straps should solve a defined fit, connection or operating problem. Color and identification can help distribution, but the important decisions concern skin contact, cord behavior and compatibility with the site’s grounding and monitoring equipment.

Begin with the reason for customization

A replacement for an uncomfortable cuff needs different decisions from a new strap for a monitored workstation. State whether the problem is fit, a connector mismatch, insufficient movement, cleaning compatibility or identification across departments. This keeps the purchasing discussion focused on a usable assembly.

For an existing workstation, provide the monitor interface and current cuff and cord details. A photograph helps identify the arrangement, but it does not establish wiring, resistor configuration or electrical compatibility by itself.

Set the electrical interfaces before the appearance

  1. Define the architecture. Identify a single-wire system or the required dual-wire monitoring arrangement.
  2. Match the connection. Specify both sides of each snap or plug, including the workstation input.
  3. Plan movement. Describe where the operator sits or stands and how far the hands move during the task.
  4. Agree the acceptance method. Identify the checks required for the completed cuff, cord and connection.

Interchanging parts solely because their connectors appear similar can change the intended circuit. Preserve the specified current-limiting and monitoring functions when requesting a different lead or termination.

Fit and contact materials

Collect the actual wrist-size range and consider how the cuff is issued. Individual allocation, visitor use and shared workstations may need different adjustment and cleaning arrangements. Include the contact-side material and backplate in the requirement.

Where wearer sensitivity is a concern, request specific material information and evaluate the proposed construction. The hypoallergenic ESD wrist straps page explains why a broad label cannot replace that review.

Color and identification

Exterior colors can distinguish departments or assigned sets. Place markings where they do not cover the conductive contact area, obstruct adjustment or confuse the connection point. Confirm that the chosen marking and cleaning method are compatible.

A logo should not look like a certification mark or an electrical rating. Packaging can identify a kit and its replacement components, but the printed description must agree with the actual supplied assembly.

Approve the assembly that will be repeated

Review an agreed sample against the component schedule: band construction, size, contact surfaces, cord architecture and terminations. Evaluate fit and movement as well as the required electrical checks. Approval of a color swatch alone leaves the functional choices unresolved.

Keep the approved configuration identifiable when ordering replacements. Substituting an ordinary cord, a different cuff contact or an unreviewed material can change how the set works even if the external color remains identical.

Separate supply options from verified performance

Customization does not create an automatic ESD qualification or an allergy-free product. Any claimed performance must be supported for the final configuration and the intended use. shengtongjh coordinates the requested components and documentation without transferring another manufacturer's certifications or test results to a new assembly.

Send the wrist sizes, interface details, quantity and identification requirements to prepare a configuration proposal. Include the site’s verification and documentation requirements with the request.

Band fit, exterior identification, cord configuration and packaging can be customized to the approved workstation requirements.
