Listed dimensions are assembly options, not a claim of identical performance across sizes. The selected grade's report and installation drawing define its operating limits and clearance.

Filtration grade, housing size, drains and monitoring connections can be customized to the required contaminant limit and operating duty.

A high efficiency compressed air filter should be selected for a defined contaminant and outlet requirement. The useful evidence describes a complete housing-and-element combination under stated test conditions, not just a small micron number or a percentage printed beside the media.

Efficiency has to describe a particular test

A removal percentage compares an inlet challenge with the contamination measured downstream. Its meaning depends on what was challenged, how it was measured and the conditions of the test. A particle result does not establish oil-vapour removal, and a nominal micron label does not by itself define the concentration delivered to the process.

ISO 12500-1 addresses the performance testing of compressed-air coalescing filters for oil aerosols, including pressure drop. ISO 8573-1 describes separate purity classes for particles, water and oil in the air. The first helps evaluate a component; the second helps state the required air quality at a chosen location. Neither justifies claiming that an untested installation has achieved a particular class.

Coalescing needs media, drainage and sealing

Fine droplets are captured within the element and combine into larger drops. The drainage structure allows the collected liquid to move away from the main air path. The bowl and drain must then discharge it without flooding the element.

Air that bypasses a damaged or poorly fitted end seal never crosses the intended media. Confirm the element's correct seating and use the specified seals and cartridge design. Matching only the outside dimensions is not enough to establish an equivalent replacement.

Protect the element from the wrong load

Large quantities of liquid or solids can overwhelm a fine stage and shorten its service life. Provide the upstream separation and prefiltration required by the selected equipment. Check drain operation when contamination rises; changing the cartridge alone may leave the original cause in place.

Coalescing does not remove water vapour or all oil vapour. Where those limits matter, the system also needs appropriate drying or an activated carbon stage.

Read pressure loss under a meaningful load

A dry-element pressure drop and a wetted coalescer's operating pressure drop describe different conditions. Compare proposals on the same basis and include the housing, selected element and flow correction. Size the assembly so normal operation remains within the supplier's permitted range.

Record a baseline after commissioning at a known flow. A later change can then be investigated alongside air demand, drain operation and the scheduled element interval. Low differential pressure during no-flow conditions does not demonstrate a clean element or correct filtration; the indicator also cannot prove that the outlet purity requirement is being met.

Make acceptance specific to the application

Agree the contaminant limit, test location and operating state before purchase. Retain the selected assembly's performance data and use appropriate air-quality measurement when the process requires it. A high-efficiency label is not a declaration of sterility or breathing-air suitability.

For shengtongJH sourcing, supply the required outlet condition and existing upstream treatment. This allows the filter to be selected as part of a working process, rather than as an isolated efficiency claim.

Filtration grade, housing size, drains and monitoring connections can be customized to the required contaminant limit and operating duty.
