Compressed Air Filters
compressed air filter manufacturers
| Configurations to compare | Compact threaded filters; flanged vessel filters; dedicated high-pressure assemblies |
|---|---|
| Threaded size choices | 1/4, 1/2, 3/4, 1, 1½ and 2 in nominal ports |
| Larger connection choices | DN50, DN80, DN100 and DN150 flanged options, subject to duty |
| Media families | Particulate, coalescing and activated carbon, compared as separate functions |
| Capacity basis | Same reference volume, line pressure, inlet temperature and air demand for each proposal |
| Pressure-loss comparison | Housing plus selected element; dry or wetted state identified |
| Included items | Housing, element, seals, drain, indicator, brackets and connection accessories stated individually |
| Support scope | Replacement identification, service instructions and agreed documentation for the selected assembly |
These are procurement configuration choices, not a ranking or an assertion that different suppliers' products are interchangeable. The selected quotation defines exact dimensions and verified ratings.
We can coordinate customized filter and accessory specifications across suitable manufacturers for your application and procurement requirements.
Proposals from compressed air filter manufacturers can look similar while covering different duties. shengtongJH helps compare equipment on a common technical basis, so the selected housing, element and accessories address the application and remain maintainable after delivery.
Put the quotations on the same duty
A larger published flow number may reflect a different pressure or volume reference rather than a physically larger filter. Give each supplier the same operating envelope: minimum line pressure, maximum temperature, peak and normal consumption, upstream treatment and required outlet quality. Ask the supplier to identify any correction factors applied.
Then check what the filtration claim covers. A particle rating, an oil-aerosol concentration and an oil-vapour adsorption capacity describe different performance. They cannot be placed in one column labelled efficiency and compared as though they were equivalent.
Compare the evidence behind each offer
| Item | What makes the comparison useful | What can be missed |
|---|---|---|
| Flow capacity | Operating pressure, temperature and volume reference are consistent. | A free-air figure compared with actual compressed volume. |
| Aerosol removal | The report identifies the element, housing, inlet challenge and outlet result. | A media-only statement without assembly test conditions. |
| Pressure loss | The chosen grade and dry or wetted condition are stated. | A clean empty-housing loss used to represent a working coalescer. |
| Maintenance | Replacement parts, intervals and access needs are documented. | A cheaper element that needs unplanned pipework removal. |
Compare the delivered package
One offer may include an electronic drain and indicator; another may cover a bare housing and cartridge. Establish the included fittings, brackets, seals and drain controls before assessing cost. Agree who supplies the isolation valves and condensate connection, and which party completes the installation.
Pressure documentation should identify the actual assembly and destination requirements. Do not treat a manufacturer's certification for a different model as evidence for the product being offered.
Keep the replacement route clear
Ask for the exact element and seal identifiers, service instructions and the process for confirming an equivalent replacement. The fit of an element includes its sealing interface and support, not just its external dimensions.
Where several sites use similar filters, a controlled parts list can reduce ordering mistakes. Standardising on fewer assemblies can simplify maintenance, but only where the operating conditions genuinely match.
Use lifetime cost without inventing a saving
Initial price is one part of the decision. Pressure loss, drain air consumption, element replacement, access time and process interruption affect ownership cost. Quantify those items using your operating hours and measured air demand; a percentage saving copied from another installation is not a reliable result for your plant.
We provide sourcing coordination rather than claiming to operate the manufacturers' factories. For a new or modified assembly, the manufacturer specification page explains the construction and delivery requirements to settle before an order. A clear comparison leaves fewer technical questions to resolve after the equipment arrives.
