Its physical bulk makes machine clearance a central part of selection, especially when replacing a much thinner wiping web.
Check both the new roll and the used roll
A supply roll may fit at loading while the take-up roll reaches its clearance limit before the cloth is consumed. Confirm usable space on both sides of the machine. The nominal roll length alone does not describe the outside diameter, and wet or loosely wound used cloth may occupy a different volume.
Head clearance
Review the cloth path through narrow slots and beneath the contact head. Include joins, folds or lead-in arrangements required by the machine.
Liquid dose
Set wetting from the cleaning result and remaining surface film. A thicker fabric should not be assigned a liquid dose solely by comparison with a thinner roll.
Surface finish
Evaluate the mesh face and sealed edge on the actual coated or polished part before approving repeated contact.
