Keep the small working area visible
The slender tips allow the operator to see the surrounding feature while making contact. Use short strokes and keep the stem clear of adjacent components. A small tip can still carry abrasive contamination, so inspect the target and follow the approved removal method for loose grit before wiping a delicate finish.
Separate clean and used ends
Plan which end will be used first and where the second end will remain during the operation. Do not rest the unused tip on the bench. Once either end is dirty, keep it away from the clean inner pack and fluid dispenser.
Small packs at the workstation
The bag format allows a working quantity to be separated from the larger supply. Open only what the station needs, remove swabs by the stem and close the remaining supply between tasks. Packaging helps protect handling cleanliness but does not establish sterility.
Qualify the stem and tips with the chosen cleaning fluid. Excess wetting can change how a paper-stem tool feels in use, making precise contact harder to control.
