BB-002 is a paper-stem swab with an absorbent cleaning tip at each end. The rounded tips provide local contact for accessible parts, while the central stem gives a clear handling area.
Two tips need a clear handling method
A double-ended swab provides two working ends, but the unused end stays clean only if it is protected during the first operation. Hold the central stem without touching either tip. If the second end contacts a glove, bench or dirty part, do not treat it as a fresh cleaning surface.
For a wet-then-dry task, use the ends only according to a defined process that prevents fluid and contamination transferring between them. Separate swabs are preferable when the two stages must remain strictly isolated.
