Cleanliness grades are ordering designations: agree particle limits and supporting documentation. Sterilization can be specified; the standard product is not supplied sterile.
Choose the contact finish around the part
A glove that fits the hand can still be wrong for the workpiece. A smooth finish gives a continuous contact surface for inspection and positioning. Textured fingertips introduce a different contact pattern at the points used to pinch tools and small components. Trial both finishes with the actual part, including any cleaning residue or moisture present during normal handling.
The white surface makes dark marks easy to notice, but appearance alone cannot establish that a glove is clean. A glove that has touched a drawer, phone or outer packaging should not return to a controlled product-contact step without following the site's change procedure.
Fit the working hand, not just the palm
Check the glove while picking up a small component, opening the hand and reaching forward. Excess material at the fingertip can interfere with accurate placement; a cuff that continually pulls back interrupts the process. Select the size with the tools and movements used on the line.
For contamination-sensitive work, define the particle test, extraction method and acceptable limits alongside the grade. Where sterilization is required, agree the method and supplied status explicitly: a glove that can be sterilized is not necessarily delivered sterile.
