hepa filters for air cleaners
| Product scope | Host-matched replacement HEPA cartridge for commercial air-cleaning equipment |
|---|---|
| Cartridge W × H × D (mm) | 287 × 287 × 292; 610 × 610 × 292 |
| Filter grade | H13 or H14, subject to the host's approved filtration and fan duty |
| Pack construction | Rigid mini-pleat or deep-pack element selected for the housing |
| Frame and handling | Metal frame with suitable retaining and handling features |
| Seal | Continuous gasket on the required face; profile and thickness matched to the holder |
| Flow direction | Orientation and clearance matched to the air-cleaner's filter compartment |
| Upstream component | Separate prefilter specified independently of the HEPA cartridge |
| Identification | Host details, dimensioned element drawing, pressure/flow data and required test record |
The listed dimensions describe two different filter formats. They are not interchangeable and do not describe the cabinet's outer size. Compatibility must cover the frame, seal and airflow duty together.
Replacement filter dimensions, frame details and gasket positions can be customized to the verified air-cleaner housing.
An air-cleaner replacement filter must match the equipment that holds and drives it. A cartridge that looks similar can have a different sealing face, frame depth or resistance. Match those interfaces before comparing price or filter-class labels.
Identify the part before removing its packaging
Start with the equipment identification and the existing cartridge's part information. Add photographs of the holder, the seal side and the retaining mechanism. A clear face measurement is useful, but it does not show whether a flange sits inside the opening or overlaps the housing.
Measure the rigid frame separately from a soft gasket. Note the depth available behind the element, the direction of insertion and any stops that set its final position. These details prevent a replacement arriving with the right face size but an unusable edge profile.
Three checks that prevent a misleading match
Mechanical fit
The element must enter without distorting the frame and sit squarely on its supports. Clamps need sufficient travel to secure it without crushing the media pack.
Seal contact
The gasket must meet the intended sealing land around the full perimeter. A seal on the wrong face can leave a bypass even when the access door closes normally.
Fan compatibility
Compare resistance at the machine's working airflow. A different pack depth or media construction can alter the fan's operating point without changing the cartridge's outside appearance.
Check the rest of the machine when delivery falls
A blocked intake or loaded prefilter can restrict airflow before air reaches the HEPA element. Check those accessible causes and the fan setting before ordering a replacement solely because the outlet feels weak.
Where a pressure indication is fitted, interpret it with the airflow condition. A reading taken at a different fan speed is not directly comparable with the original operating record.
Return the assembled unit to a known condition
- Isolate the equipment and follow its service procedure before opening the filter compartment.
- Inspect the supports, gasket contact surface and retaining hardware while the compartment is accessible.
- Install the correctly oriented element, close the assembly and restore the intended fan setting.
- Record the new element identification and operating condition; complete any leakage or performance verification required for the application.
