The enclosure sizes belong to different complete configurations. Separate nitrogen-gas preparation, cooling equipment, transfer access and service clearances may require additional space.
The liquid nitrogen package can be customized for daily consumption, reserve storage, transfer requirements and the site's available utilities.
A liquid nitrogen generator combines nitrogen-gas preparation with cryogenic refrigeration and insulated storage. Its job is to replenish a usable liquid inventory. Selection therefore starts with how much liquid the facility withdraws, when it is needed and what reserve is required between production periods.
Balance production with withdrawals
A daily production rating describes replenishment under stated conditions. It does not mean that the same volume is ready immediately after startup. The system first needs to reach its operating condition, and the stored liquid must cover the intended withdrawal pattern.
A facility making several large transfers in the morning may need a different reserve from one using a small amount throughout the day, even when their daily totals match. Include weekend operation, planned maintenance and the consequence of a missed production period when defining the storage arrangement.
The gas-preparation stage
Liquefaction equipment needs a suitable nitrogen feed. Determine whether gas separation and air compression are integrated or supplied as separate units. Their filters, cooling and electrical requirements remain part of the installation.
The refrigeration stage
The cryogenic section removes heat to produce liquid. Ambient temperature and the available cooling arrangement affect its duty. Locating the equipment in a hot enclosed room can undermine an otherwise suitable selection.
The stored-liquid stage
The dewar provides a reserve between production and use. Usable inventory, vessel pressure, normal evaporation and the transfer arrangement matter alongside the nominal storage volume.
Specify the transfer as part of the purchase
The destination vessel or instrument must be compatible with the proposed delivery connection and pressure. A short local transfer and a longer fixed line have different heat-leak and handling considerations. Decide whether the supplied scope includes the transfer line, its supports and the receiving connection.
Allow a practical route for vessel movement and trained operation. A compact machine footprint is not the complete working envelope, particularly where a receiving dewar must be positioned and moved regularly.
Compare local production with the real supply routine
Local generation may reduce dependence on frequent deliveries, but it introduces refrigeration maintenance, electrical consumption and a recovery period after a shutdown. Compare those items with the existing delivery schedule and losses using the facility's actual demand. A universal saving percentage is not a sound basis for selecting the package.
Agree the production conditions, utility scope and acceptance method before ordering. An enquiry should describe the daily and largest single withdrawal, existing storage and the required continuity of supply. shengtongJH can coordinate the appropriate equipment and interfaces without treating research use as proof of medical suitability or sterile liquid production.
