S5009 is a woven microfiber wipe with a random-texture surface and polyester-nylon composition. Its textured contact face is intended for evaluating the removal of adhesive traces and greasy films.
Texture for collecting loosened residue
The surface texture of S5009 provides a different contact feel from smooth plain-weave cloth. It can be evaluated for lifting compatible adhesive residue and oily contamination from production surfaces after the cleaning liquid has loosened the deposit.
Texture does not justify increasing pressure on a delicate finish. Start with controlled contact and replace the working face before trapped particles or sticky residue can be dragged across the part.
Touch-panel and LCD work
Identify the exact cleaning stage and substrate. Cleaning a fixture, removing perimeter adhesive and preparing a bonding face are different tasks, even when they occur at the same workstation.
Measure the useful result
- Residue removed per fresh cloth face.
- Visible film after evaporation.
- Marks or particles under the normal inspection lighting.
- Ease of controlling the fold around the part.
Use these observations to compare S5009 with the plain-weave S309A or twill S4009.
