4009A is a sub-microfiber polyester wipe with a close straight-texture knit. It is intended for controlled removal of fine residues on suitable electronics surfaces and production fixtures.
Control fine residues before the next operation
Metallic dust or adhesive residue around an assembly operation needs a defined removal step. 4009A provides a close fabric face for evaluating this work, but a wipe alone cannot establish that a surface is safe for the next process.
For battery-related production, identify whether the contact is with tooling, an enclosure or an exposed electrode. These surfaces have different chemical and contamination requirements. Qualify the exact cleaning step rather than assuming one cloth is suitable throughout the line.
What to check in a cleaning trial
- Visible pickup without pushing residue into edges or recesses.
- The dried surface after the approved cleaner has evaporated.
- Particles and ions against the limits relevant to the part.
- Whether the selected fold keeps the finished edge away from sensitive contact.
The same close-knit construction can be evaluated for LCD-related fixtures. Keep separate procedures where the contamination and surface finish differ; an accepted tool-cleaning method is not automatically suitable for direct product contact.
