1009D offers a lighter polyester mesh alternative within the 1009 family for controlled wiping of equipment and process surfaces. It provides a flexible sheet where users do not need the bulk of a heavier cloth.
A flexible cloth for smaller contact areas
When a wipe is folded around a narrow fixture or held against an edge, excess fabric can obstruct the working area. 1009D is a candidate where a lighter mesh is easier to position and a fresh sheet is used frequently.
The sheet should follow the surface without bunching. Avoid pulling a loaded edge back across the cleaned area; turn the cloth or replace it before starting the next component.
What to compare with 1009C
The difference in fabric weight does not establish a better cleanliness class. Compare handling, liquid retention and residue removal using the same approved chemistry, then check the contamination data for each selected washing option.
A lighter wipe may suit low soil loads, while a heavier cloth may hold its folded shape more firmly. Trial results on the actual part are more useful than assuming the two model codes are interchangeable.
For procurement, identify the sheet dimensions and pack count as well as the model. Agree whether laser, ultrasonic or another listed edge treatment is required before production samples are evaluated.
