1009B uses a relatively light polyester mesh with an open, absorbent surface. It is intended for routine particle pickup and wet wiping around PCB exposure operations and glass-related production.
For particles that must leave with the wipe
Dust remaining on exposure equipment or a glass surface can transfer back into the process. 1009B combines an open mesh with a soft fabric face so a controlled wiping pass can collect loose contamination rather than repeatedly pushing it across the same area.
- Remove loose abrasive debris without rubbing it into the surface.
- Apply the approved liquid in a controlled amount; a dripping wipe can move contamination into joints.
- Wipe in one direction, exposing a fresh folded face for the next pass.
Acceptance on the actual surface
Evaluate particle pickup, residual liquid and visible streaking on the actual glass or equipment finish. Cleanroom washing terminology describes processing choices and does not replace a surface-cleanliness acceptance test.
