8009J is a polyester-nylon microfiber wipe for controlled removal of fingerprint and oil films. Its thin straight-knit construction gives an alternative to bulkier microfiber grades.
A thin cloth with a substantial fabric weight
Basis weight and thickness describe different properties. 8009J combines a substantial listed fabric weight with a relatively thin profile, making it worth evaluating where the operator needs a close fold without excessive bulk.
Check how the folded cloth follows the surface and releases liquid under light pressure. A heavier weight does not automatically mean faster pickup or lower residue.
From fingerprint to clean finish
Use an approved cleaner to release the film, collect it on a fresh working face and inspect after drying. If a haze remains, change the cloth face and review the liquid load before repeating the same pass.
Keep cloths used on frames or equipment housings separate from those used on the final glass surface. The surrounding hardware can carry abrasive particles even when the glass appears only lightly marked.
