8009D is a heavier polyester-nylon microfiber wipe with a straight knitted texture for precision optical cleaning. It is a candidate for suitable camera, laser-system and glass surfaces where film removal must be controlled.
Optical cleaning begins with the surface specification
A camera lens, protective window and laser optic may have different coatings and cleaning limits. Before using 8009D, identify the surface and the cleaning liquid approved for it. Use the cloth only where the component's procedure permits wiping contact.
The fine microfiber face supplies close contact for collecting loosened film. It cannot prevent damage from a trapped hard particle, so remove loose debris before the wet-cleaning pass.
Small contact areas
Choose a compact fold with the sealed edge tucked away. Avoid applying force through a fingernail or an uneven support that concentrates pressure.
Final acceptance
Inspect after evaporation using the optical process's criteria. A visually clear surface may still need residue or particle measurement where performance is sensitive.
Keep separate wipes for optical surfaces and surrounding housings. Cleaning a housing first can load the cloth with particles that should never reach the optic.
