6009A is a substantial polyester-nylon microfiber wipe for fingerprints and oily residues on suitable optical glass and precision surfaces. Its soft knitted face is intended to provide close contact during controlled cleaning.
Close contact on glass with visible film
Finger marks are a mixture of residues that may not lift in a dry pass. Pair 6009A with a cleaner approved for the glass or coating, then use the microfiber face to collect the loosened film. Keep a separate clean face for finishing so the original deposit is not redistributed.
A substantial cloth can hold a useful working fold, but excess liquid may remain in that fold. Assess how the cloth releases solution under the pressure actually used by the operator.
Optical inspection after cleaning
Check the surface after drying under suitable angled illumination. Look for streaks, remaining fingerprints and particles at the perimeter. Include the final handling step in the trial, because a clean part can be marked again during transfer.
Specify the washed finish
Select the required washing designation and request the corresponding finished-product evidence. The fabric weight and soft feel do not by themselves establish a particle limit or compatibility with a sensitive optical coating.
