Washing designations describe processing options, not sterility. Absorption figures require a confirmed test unit and method before comparison.
MC is a thin plain-woven polyester cloth for controlled wiping where low bulk and a regular fabric face are useful. Its lightweight construction offers a distinct alternative to the thicker knitted grades.
A low-bulk woven cloth
The thin plain weave of MC can be useful where a folded cloth must fit a small contact area or wrap around a suitable cleaning support. It provides less bulk than the knitted grades, making precise handling an important part of the selection.
Keep the support smooth and use enough clean fabric to prevent a hard edge from pressing directly against the part.
Match the soil load to the sheet
A lightweight cloth may suit light film removal but require frequent changes for heavy deposits or large liquid volumes. Compare the total cloth consumption needed to achieve the accepted finish.
Define the finished format
Confirm the sheet dimensions, edge treatment, washing condition and pack count for the intended supply. Do not assume the dimensions of other model families apply to this cloth.
Use the cleaner approved for the substrate and inspect after drying. Plain weave and polyester composition identify the construction; they do not establish a universal optical-cleaning or residue specification.
