093BFCTD pairs a rounded foam paddle with a PP handle for controlled wiping over small flat areas. The wider face covers more of a surface per pass than the compact pointed foam models while remaining manageable around fixtures.
Use the face of the paddle
The head works most predictably when its broad face meets the surface. Tilting it onto an edge reduces the working area and changes local pressure. On a flat fixture or accessible housing surface, keep the face supported and move contamination toward an open edge.
Why repeated passes can leave a smear
A swab has a limited capacity to carry dissolved or loosened material. Once the foam is loaded, an additional pass may spread residue rather than remove it. Use a clean portion of the head for each pass and replace the swab before the working face becomes saturated.
For sticky residues, fluid choice and dwell time can matter more than rubbing force. Confirm compatibility with the foam, handle, component finish and nearby adhesive before introducing the fluid into production.
Open surface
The paddle is suited to an accessible patch that benefits from a defined wiping face. Keep the shaft from scraping neighbouring features.
Restricted opening
Measure the opening against the full head width. If the paddle must be folded to enter, select a smaller profile rather than relying on compression to create clearance.
