067BFSTD combines a tapered foam contact tip with a compact polypropylene handle. The narrow point helps approach edges and small recesses while the wider portion of the head carries cleaning fluid and collects loosened residue.
Reach the edge without flooding the part
A broad wipe can bridge a narrow groove and leave residue at its bottom. This foam tip narrows toward the contact end, allowing the operator to place the cleaning surface beside a component or along a recessed edge. The spiral profile is visible in the close-up; it is a contact shape, not a cutting or drilling feature.
For wet cleaning, lightly moisten the head with a fluid approved for the workpiece and the swab. A saturated tip can release liquid into adjacent joints when compressed. Use a fresh head as soon as the contact surface becomes loaded with residue.
Control the approach
Approach along the open direction of the recess and keep the plastic shaft clear of the surface. The point is useful for locating a small contact area, but heavy pressure can collapse the foam and expose the support beneath it. Do not force the head into a gap that grips it during withdrawal.
Choose the contact profile
Use this tapered profile where access is the main constraint. A rounded foam head offers a different contact footprint for open surfaces; a fabric head may suit a process where surface wiping behaviour matters more than the foam shape. Trial the complete cleaning method on the actual residue and finish.
