The absorption index has no stated unit or test method; it is not a percentage. The cleaning designation describes processing and is not a sterility claim.
Sheet dimensions and packaging can be customized to suit the application.
RP38G is a spunlace nonwoven sheet for wiping accessible industrial surfaces. Its textured appearance and cut-sheet format support a practical evaluation of how the wipe contacts the part, changes shape when wet and releases from corners during cleaning.
Contact with the part comes first
A soft sheet is useful only when the operator can maintain contact with the area being cleaned. Fold RP38G to fit the component face without excessive overhang. Too much loose material can catch nearby features or touch surfaces that were not part of the cleaning step.
Keep a separate clean face available for the finishing pass. Where a component has recesses that a folded sheet cannot reach, use an appropriately sized cleaning tool instead of forcing the wipe into place.
Texture
Inspect the open nonwoven surface and the way it follows the part. Appearance alone cannot establish the fiber blend or a contamination limit.
Wet handling
Evaluate with the actual liquid and exposure period. Check that the sheet can be removed intact after normal use.
Surface result
Look for residual film, displaced dirt and released fibers at the inspection point that matters to production.
Keep comparisons fair
When comparing RP38G with another RP grade, hold the sheet area, liquid, residue and wiping procedure constant. A difference in basis weight does not isolate all the factors that affect cleaning. Let completed-task results guide the choice, especially where repeat cleaning is expensive.
For sensitive assembly, distinguish between an acceptable wipe for outer equipment covers and one approved for direct component contact. The location of use can be more demanding than the general industry name suggests.
Order the complete configuration
Identify RP38G, the required format and pack arrangement, then add the contact surface and cleaning chemistry. Where fiber composition or a test report is mandatory, make it an explicit acceptance item. The spunlace designation should not be used as a substitute for that information.
