cleanroom lighting units

Configuration options
Ceiling formats600 × 600 or 300 × 1200 mm (nominal W × L)
Output and input pairings3500 lm / 40 W or 5500 lm / 63 W, selected as matched LED assemblies
White-light quality4000 K; colour rendering index above 80
Electrical supply220–240 V AC, 50–60 Hz
Driver arrangementIncluded matched driver; fixed-output or compatible dimming version
Package definitionHousing, optical assembly, seals and specified mounting hardware; emergency components identified separately

Nominal ceiling format is not the outer housing or cutout size. Output and input options belong to complete matched configurations; mounting frame and access details are selected with the unit.

Lighting units, mounting kits, driver options and replacement packages can be customized to suit the installation and maintenance needs.

A cleanroom lighting unit should be specified as a complete assembly, with a clear boundary between what arrives in the carton and what the installation contractor supplies. This is particularly useful for replacements, phased installations and orders that mix several fixture arrangements.

Define the assembly before comparing prices

Two offers described as a lighting unit may include different parts. One may contain the driver, lens and mounting brackets, while another expects a separate driver enclosure or a ceiling adapter. Compare the complete installed arrangement so missing components do not appear only when the ceiling is ready.

  • Inside the fixture: light engine, optical face, driver where integral, internal connections and closure hardware.
  • At the mounting interface: brackets, retaining frame, support requirements and the intended perimeter seal.
  • At the electrical interface: supply connection, cable entry, control connection and any remote equipment.
  • For specialist operation: separately selected emergency gear, monitoring interface or spectral option.

Integral driver

Keeping the driver within the assembly reduces the number of separately mounted components. The housing must provide the required thermal conditions and enough service access to remove it. An integral driver can be convenient in a compact installation, but its location should not make a simple repair require removal of the whole ceiling panel.

Remote driver

A separate driver can move the service point away from the room-facing fixture. It introduces its own enclosure, mounting location and electrical connections, however. Cable limits and matching between driver and light engine must follow the selected arrangement; a remote supply is not an interchangeable universal accessory.

For replacements, match more than the face size

A replacement can cover the old opening yet clash with supports above it. Confirm the body depth, retaining method, cable approach and access direction as well as the visible size. Record whether the existing control is switching only, dimming or part of an addressable system.

Similar colour temperature and stated lumens do not necessarily reproduce the old light distribution. When replacing only some units, assess the remaining layout and the appearance of adjacent fittings. A phased programme benefits from an agreed optical and control specification rather than ordering whichever unit shares the same nominal size.

Prepare the maintenance handover with the order

Give each selected configuration an unambiguous schedule reference. Keep the approved drawing, wiring information and component details associated with that reference so later procurement can identify the correct replacement. Separate a whole-unit spare from a spare driver or diffuser; they solve different failures.

Packaging should protect the optical face and sealing edges during delivery and storage. Check for transport damage before installation and keep unsuitable units out of the ceiling until the issue is resolved. A complete package can then be installed and commissioned against the agreed project requirements.

Use the quotation enquiry to describe a new installation or replacement, the existing ceiling and the components expected in each unit.

Lighting units, mounting kits, driver options and replacement packages can be customized to suit the installation and maintenance needs.
