Confirm the dimension order, bore, outside dimensions, covered length and core interfaces on an approved drawing. Material data depend on grade and conditioning.
Sponge dimensions, core arrangement and material grade can be customized for the process.
These beige sponge rings include a black core bushing, separating the mounting surface from the absorbent contact body. The catalogue identifies the material as PP; the precise grade should be agreed for the process liquid.
Inspect both the bushing and the sponge
Check the bore fit, bushing retention and outside contact geometry before installation. A worn or loose center can affect rotation even if the sponge surface still appears usable. Confirm how the ring is retained on the shaft and whether it is intended to rotate freely or with the shaft.
Select by the bath conditions
The source associates this family with wet processing, including circuit-board handling. That application description does not establish compatibility with a particular etchant or plating bath. Specify chemical composition, concentration, temperature and exposure cycle for grade approval.
Look for swelling, hardening, surface damage and deposits during servicing. Replace a ring when its geometry or mounting integrity is no longer suitable, and keep the accepted material specification with the spare-parts record.
