Size discrepancy: the title and size photograph differ. Neither dimension set is approved for supply until confirmed against a drawing or sample.
Sponge dimensions, core arrangement and material grade can be customized for the process.
The black PU sponge ring is a separate photographed variant with a solid-colored contact body. Its published size information needs reconciliation before it can be treated as an interchangeable replacement.
Resolve the size before approving a replacement
The product title lists 14 x 40 x 10 mm, while the detailed size image is marked 14 x 43 x 12 mm. The difference affects fit and contact geometry. Identify the required bore, outer diameter and axial width on a drawing or measured sample before ordering.
The gallery retains the detailed size image so that the two descriptions can be reviewed together. Neither set should be treated as an approved manufacturing dimension until that review is complete.
Qualify the black material itself
Confirm material grade, contact behavior and cleanliness requirements independently of the color. Black coloration does not establish electrical conductivity or ESD suitability.
Assess liquid pickup, compression recovery and possible transfer to the workpiece using the intended fluid and operating cycle. Keep accepted spare rings identified by the confirmed drawing and grade to prevent mixing them with visually similar white elements.
Material data
| Hardness designation | 5–70; test scale unspecified |
|---|---|
| Pore diameter | 15–100 µm |
| Tensile strength | 120 kPa |
| Porosity | 75–90% |
| Water-retention value | 300–400%; test basis unspecified |
| Heat-resistance values | 130 °C in air; 100 °C in water |
These material-level values support grade comparison; they are not guaranteed finished-roller test results. Confirm the test method, conditioning and allowable operating conditions for the selected grade. Chemical compatibility must be assessed for the actual fluid, concentration and temperature.
